Radio-Frequency Identification(RFID)

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a form of wireless communication that uses radio waves to identify and track objects.. The RFID device serves the same purpose as a bar code or a magnetic strip on the back of a credit card or ATM card; it provides a unique identifier for that object. And, just as a bar code or magnetic strip must be scanned to get the information, the RFID device must be scanned to retrieve the identifying information.

RFID use is increasing rapidly with the capability to “tag” any item with an inexpensive communications chip and then read that tag with a reader

RFID is useful for the following applications :
  • Identify items without direct line-of-sight
  • Identify many items simultaneously
  • Identify items within a vicinity of between a few centimeters to several meters

APPLICATIONS

RFID technology is used in a number of industries to carry out various tasks such as:

  • Asset tracking
  • Inventory management
  • Controlling access to confined areas
  • Personnel tracking
  • Supply chain management

FILE TRACKING THROUGH RFID

Finding a file among piles of records can be an arduous and time consuming exercise.. The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology can be used to locate inventory and check files in and out. The File Tracking system can be implemented using existing filing records management systems for quick and consistent file retention, with all components fully integrated with each other to ensure that the information is current at all times

RFID BASED TOLL PLAZA SYSTEM

RFID technology is also being for smooth flow of traffic at several toll plaza system .The technology has drastically reduced the waiting time at toll plaza with introduction of RFID cards .

RFID TECHNOLOGY FOR LIBRARIES

RFID is the latest technology to be used in library theft detection systems. RFID is a combination of radio-frequency-based technology and microchip technology. The information contained on microchips in the tags affixed to library materials is read using radio frequency technology.

RFID USE IN SCHOOLS

The RFID technology is useful in ensuring safety and on line tracking of students.

Testimonial

  • I took your classes too early before attempt. Then I took amendment classes and preparation for my exams was all done. I revised the course again and again. I followed each and everything told by you in the class. Amit Chaturvedi

  • The best part of the classes are that the fear of the subject disappears from the very first day. The subject become more and easier after taking clsasses regularly and going through the examples. Neha Patwal

  • I am very thankful to you for your wonderful teachings that made me to achieve the goal Mohan kumar
